How much does it cost to get a chauffeur permanently?
The employment laws, and the laws pertaining to their chauffeur license will not permit them to be with you “all day.” They are limited to a number of hours they can work/drive each day. I guess their family would do whatever any working person’s family would do when they were at work. The drivers I use are on an independant contractors agreement/contract. I don’t have to pay any benefits or do any taxes work other then a straight reporting of the income I pay them, to the IRS. They are responsible for all of their taxes paperwork and reportings. It will be your responsibility to do background checks and the such. If you provide the vehicle, you will have to pay to maintain it and insure it. If they own the car and use it for their business, they have to do all of that. They usually have someone who works with them in the event of illness or other absence. My drivers take home 1.5k each week. It is very difficult to find a good driver that is suitable all-round. Hope that helps.
