Each group offers different benefits. Every student should consider the financial costs when planning their personal budget. Each chapter has differing costs related to joining their group. It is strongly recommended to ask each group what the dues would be like before joining. 6. HOW MUCH TIME DOES FRATERNITY OR SORORITY MEMBERSHIP REQUIRE? Like most extra-curricular activities, how much you get from the group depends on how much time you are willing to put into it. On average expect to put in about four hours a week for meeting and mandatory events. Other optional activities such as holding an office or attending social events will take additional time.
