I think the best of the hospitals in India are available in Southern India, simply because it has got good doctors, caring nurses, availability of wards and medicines. You get them in most of the hospitals in South as compared to elsewhere in India. Moreover the rates are cheaper and a relative of the patient is allowed to stay in the hospital. You get specialized nurses for each ward or a room you choose. The risk factor in this case is not known to me personally. But one assurance can be given that since in south, you get lots of care and attention from the hospitals, the risk of any mishap or neglect is much minimized as elsewhere in India. The cost would also be MUCH MUCH lesser there, though it varies slightly from hospital to hospital. Not all the hospitals there are saints. You may be suggested by me to try these: CMC Vellore, Tamil Nadu. There is a famous govt. hospital in trivandrum and kottayam in Kerala. Also Pushpagiri Hospital in Thiruvilla(Kerala).
