Hello, High schools known in Kenya as Secondary Schools are all run differently. For students to attend secondary school the price is different for each school and the cost of school covers different things at each school. (i.e. books, uniform, food, teachers pay, and so on) One example is a school in Nakuru Kenya that is a primary to secondary school. This school is free to the children that attend. Free really does mean free in this case. The school was founded by a Kenyan family in partnership with a church in California. Each student has a sponsor. With being a sponsor the monthly fee is $35 US dollars. That $35 does not cover all the fees for school in full, so the church and the school raise funds to cover the rest. So the students and their families (if the children have families) do not have to pay for school. They do pay for transportation to and from school for holidays and that is all.
