depends how old the colt is, whether the colt has fully decended, can it be done under standing sedation or is the vet going to have to knock it out entirely, are there any complications? For a year old fully decended colt with no complications it is normaly around £150 to castrate them. Phone your local vet and discuss it with them, they will be happy to tell you what they will charge and what the procedure is likely to be. It is also normaly cheaper if you take the colt to them rather then have the colt done at home.
