How Much Does Ellen Ochoa Weigh?
Ellen Ochoa is the first Hispanic to reach outer space through the Space Shuttle missions. Trained as an engineer and owner of several patents for NASA, this wiry 112 lbs woman has been in the forefront of achievement early in life. She was able to reach outer space in 1993 as part of the Shuttle Crew Discovery. Now she is Deputy Director of Flight Crew Operations and has managed many offices in the NASA system. Her flight record logged 978 hours in space and is a veteran of four missions into the wide yonder of space. She has played a key role in the research and analysis of the earth’s ozone layer and her robotics, hardware and engineering skills were fully harnessed in the missions she became part of the flight crew.
