How much does delivery cost?
Each time you hire a dress, at the checkout stage, you will see the standard UK 1-2 day courier rate which will be added to your total and charged to you account. This fee covers the cost of shipping the dress to you by (our chosen courier DHL) as well as the cost of returning it to us . This fee also covers full insurance for the dress while it is in transit only both to and from you. Due to the high value of the dresses, we require proof of delivery for all orders. This means we are unable to authorise packages to be delivered without a signature. Orders are delivered between 10am – 8pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. When your order is ready to dispatch, a member of the Girl Meets Dress team will contact you to advise a 2-hour delivery slot. As we are unable to redirect orders once your items have been dispatched, please ensure you provide a suitable shipping address for the specified delivery times.
As a general rule, we deliver to addresses on the UK mainland for a flat fee of 15 per consignment for towel rails and 25 per consignment for radiators. There may be a surcharge for deliveries to addresses beyond the usual routes, such as the Highlands of Scotland. In some circumstances, a timed or Saturday delivery service is available, but for an extra charge. Please note that in many cases, to achieve a uniform delivery charge, we subsidize the cost of delivery. If for some reason you fail to meet the delivery at the pre-arranged time and place, then the costs of re-delivering will not be subsidized by us again, so, may be more than the original delivery charge paid.
