How much does Cub Scouts cost?
The Scouting program has several costs involved. The basic cost is the standard $10 registration fee to National. You can also choose an $11.80 annual subscription (optional) to Boys Life magazine. It’s filled with great adventure articles, games and more. Pack 1049 dues are $15-$25 per year, depending on the committee’s recommendation. This goes to cover basic expenses such as awards, campout food and miscellaneous items. In addition, Scouts will need to buy their uniforms: Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelo uniform/handbook needs: Shirt, belt, patches, neckerchief and slide, handbook for that rank, Council patch, World Friendship Patch, den # patch (your den leader will tell you) and unit number patch (buy this directly from the pack at $2 per patch; all 4 numbers are together (1049) so you don’t have to sew 4 separate numbers on.
