How much does Arbitration or Mediation cost?
Almost all arbitrators or mediators charge an hourly rate that is based on their level of skill and expertise. The number of hours that go into any particular dispute depend on many factors, including the complexity of the dispute, the number of parties involved, whether the parties choose to represent themselves or have attorney representation, whether witnesses must be examined, the number of documents that must be reviewed, travel, and other considerations. Experience indicates that Arbitration and Mediation usually cost the parties only a fraction of court litigation.
