How much does animal testing cost?
It’s not really a matter of cost of testing on animals vs humans – it’s a moral issue. We place the life of a human at a much higher level than that of a rabbit or rat. There are many tests we do on animals that would simply be unethical to preform on a human at any cost – but need to be done, and can be done on animals with very similar results. I can tell you it would be a lot cheaper to buy a test rat than a human.
