This is not entirely correct. I am a bus operator for the MTA in New York City. Salary is NOT based on experience. Everyone receives the same starting salary regardless of experience. The top salary right now is $26.92 per hour not $29. As far as the “double buses” are concerned you receive only 25 cents more per hour to drive them and ONLY when you drive them.
