ADB’s lending for public sector project now averages about US$1.5 billion a year. Cumulative public sector lending to the PRC as of 31 December 2005 was US$16 billion. A total of 483 technical assistance grants amounting to US$257.7 million has been provided to the PRC. ADB also lends to the private sector. Cumulative lending to the private sector was $172.2 million and cumulative equity investment was $274.3 million.
