How much does a salvage title affect the resale price on a bike?

I’d pay around 2/3 the “going” price of bike if it had a salvage title and was mechanically sound. I was paid out for entire market price of my bike when it was salvaged (by me) and I was still able to sell it for around 2/3 of what KBB was calling it.
