How much does a phone book ad cost?
You need to contact a rep for your local phone book. Advertising is in all cases determined by reach (the number of people which your ad can be expected to reach) and also by size, and if you’re doing color or B&W. My experience is that phone book ad are outrageously expensive, and a 1/2 page 4 color ad can run about $850.00 per month. Thats right – ALL yellow page advertising, EVEN just a listing is charged PER MONTH, EVERY MONTH. My belief is that while you certainly do need to be in the yellow pages, besides the standard listing, maybe do a bold heading, but thats it (appx $50-$75 per mo). The rest is a waste of money.
