I was a pharmacy tech while going to nursing school. Back in 1996, I was making 8.50 an hour (more than 5 years’ experience by then), but there was also no such thing as a certified pharmacy technician. It was just a thought then. Also, there were extremely few programs at colleges that give an education about pharmacy technician. There are a few here and there now, I believe. It is a good job.
