Domain name registration is usually around $5 to $10 per domain, annually. Shared web hosting where several web sites are hosted on the same server (adequate for most small websites and web applications that don’t get many hundreds of visitors per day) is usually under $10 per month and is even cheaper if you elect to pay for one or more years’ worth of hosting at once. Most shared web hosts cap your maximun disk space on their server for your site, as well as the monthly amount of bandwidth that visitors to your site are allowed to consume. Careful shopping is required, as these caps may limit the number of pictures you can have in a photo gallery (for example) and prevent visitors from being able to access your site if your bandwidth allowance is used up.
