How much does a Digital Infrared Imaging cost?
Our centers fee for the procedural portion of the breast scan is $150.00 which includes imaging, the interpretation fee, a dictated written report and a set of colored images on photo paper. For times that scans are provided in Portland or outside areas over several days there is an increased charge of $190 for the scan due to lodging, medical space rental and transportation costs. On your first visit in addition to the breast scan fee there is an office visit charge. Any follow-ups will also be an office visit charge. We do bill your insurance the new patient office visit, breast scan and any follow up office visits. If you wish to have additional thyroid images on the day of your breast scan that will be an additional $40 to have them interpreted. If you need a full body scan for pain syndromes that takes more time and image sets then the scan cost for that is $250.00 which includes interpretation plus any office copay. Scans that are provided outside of a 100 mile radius from Eugene are $190 due to additional costs for lodging, medical space rental and transportation. On your first visit in addition to the breast scan fee there is an office visit charge for a one hour visit. That billing code is 99204. Any follow-ups will also be an office visit charge. That billing code is 99214. You can call your insurance company to determine what they will pay.
