A lot for a well-bred one. You really want to avoid buying a cavalier from anyone except a very reputable breeder because of the risks of health problems in poorly bred ones. Ask to see the health certifications of both parents. They make wonderful, fantastic family pets BUT because of the health problems associated with the breed vet care can be pricey and buying one from a good breeder can cost you quite a bit. Sorry I couldn’t pin that down a bit more for you. It really depends in your area. If I had to guesstimate I’d say 1000+. ADD: I own one, but I am in the US now. We paid $1500 from a show breeder and I think that was on the cheap side. When I said I bought from a “show breeder”, I was not implying that I knew my dog was show quality at 12 weeks when I got him. I merely meant that the breeder was one who worked closely in the show ring and bred to produce further champions.
