It would depend on what you do (research, consulting etc). Zoologists make as much money as other professionals in science, government etc. You could make more money in consulting (e.g environmental impact assessments) than in research. It is a competitive field and one usually does not do it for the money but passion. Without this and lots of hard work it is hard to make it as a zoologist, because there aren’t a whole lota jobs out there. But if your really interested in this field (do some volenteer work experince) and this will help you decide what subjects to do. I’m saying this because there are different avenues for zoologists (physiology, ecology etc). Most of all you definitly would do Biology. It would be good to do some maths (involving calculus+statistics) and chemistry. These subjects help with doing population ecology, physiology etc. But also consider Geography (this is good for the ecology side).
