How much do private art lessons usually cost?
I have given private art lessons in Jacksonville for the past several years and I start out with 1 1/2 hr lesson for $50. However, this is a one on one private lesson. What you are doing is not a private lesson and is a class. She should purchase all the supplies and not charge more than $20 – $25 per student. These are numbers for Jacksonville Fl though where the demand is low, other areas may be higher. You art teacher may wish to check with the local school board for it is against many contracts to give private lessons to her students. The theory is that if your teacher was doing her job right you would not need private lessons. It may cost her some grief at work.
