We sell ND wethers for as little as $20 as pets and registered proven breeding does/ bucks for $200-300. Prices may be slightly higher in your area. Find a reliable breeder near you (animals in your area will probably be more used to the weather and diseases in your area.) Look for someone who stands behind his/her animals, takes care of his/her animals and can show you how to trim hooves, what dewormers work well in your area, etc. Your goat should probably also be disbudded (horn buds removed) for safety. Also try to get the name of a good goat vet from a breeder in your area; vets who treat goats are sometimes not easy to find. Also, figure the cost of your fence/pen & shelter into the cost of getting your goat. Nigerians are wonderful escape-artists and need secure net-wire or chain-link fencing.
