How much do NCAA schools spend on athletics?
The current aggregate annual budget for all NCAA intercollegiate programs is about $10.5 billion. The number is huge, but it is small compared to the overall business of running higher education. The total cost of college sports would support only a few of of the nation’s largest public universities, whose individual budgets routinely exceed $3 billion.
