How much do firemen get paid?
That would depend on where you are a fireman — they get paid salaries ranging from $0 (for volunteer firemen) to more than $100,000 a year (that’s about what firefighters in my area, San Francisco Bay Area, get paid after a few years of service). The benefits are great — fully paid health plans and generous retirement plans. Generally, it does take some schoolwork to get into firefighting — at least some courses at a community college. Military service is also helpful, and you must be in great physical shape.
