How much do discus fish normally cost?
Varies store to store, small discus can be anywhere from $25 to $60 larger ones can be anywhere from $50 to $200 plus. They are one of the most expensive varieties of fish in the aquarium trade. Also price varies between varieties a solid white one may be cheaper then a Checkerboard (white and red pigeon blood). If you can buy them from a wholesaler or online much cheaper then the lfs and much better quality in most cases.
