How much disturbance will be caused by the building works?
All building work involves some noise and disturbance at times. The building contractors will need to satisfy the University project team that they have specific management and practical measures in place to minimize the disturbance. They will need to abide by the industry ‘Considerate Contractor’ scheme. We shall be looking particularly carefully at the timing of the work in relation to the academic year, the construction techniques and the communication plan.
