How much difference is there between car and truck mechanics?
what kind of truck do you mean anyway. like a diesel (18 wheeler) or just a regular gas power truck , the only diff. in a regular truck and a car is how the automobile is layed out, a car is a more compact Design and a truck is just a bigger motor/drive train on a bigger frame, so engine and trans. and all that is the same concept but its just bigger and there are differences with every car or truck you compare as in the motor and breaks that are being used and so on. if your talking about a big rig then that a whole nother story, you need to go to school for at least 2 years to just get an idea about a big rig, and everything is different on those compared to a car, they are nothing alike aside from having a motor,Trans, and tires lol, but anyway and yes you also have to go to school to be a certified car mechanic, but there is no difference between a certified car mech and a cert. truck mech ,unless its a diesel of course.
