How much data can Datamartist handle?
Datamartist can handle very large data sets. It has a preview mode which allows the user to only load in a few thousand rows while building the data transformation, then once everything is ready can the user “runs with all data” and Datamartist does the entire calculation and writes the results out to files defined by export blocks. Although it depends on how many blocks and how many calculation steps are used, data sets with even millions of rows can usually be run in the time it takes to get a cup of coffee. For very large data sets, users can go for lunch. For REALLY big data sets your PC can work over night, for REALLY REALLY… I think you’re getting the idea. The bottom line is that it is possible to work with data sets that are much larger than what MS Excel can handle, but without having to learn how to configure a database, or how to write Structured Query Language (SQL).
