How much damage would be seen after a thermonuclear blast?
It is extremely difficult to say with certainty how much damage a blast will deliver on a specific target. Multiple variables such as size of device will have to be known in order to give a proper answer to damage estimations. For example, a 10 kt explosion would result in complete structural destruction up to of a mile from ground zero. Fires and lethal radiation would be felt up to 1 mile from ground zero. Radiation fallout from debris clouds will be seen, depending on wind variables, for several miles from ground zero. Damage effects would change, however, as we increase the total yield of the device.
