KIRKSVILLE, MO — The devastation was almost unbelievable on the north edge of Kirksville Wednesday night as one of four tornados in Adair County touched down along Industrial Road. The funnel ripped through the Jim Robertson’s car dealership before tearing into homes in the Lakeside Estates sub-division, causing heavy damage. Three people are dead in the Heartland. Officials confirm two deaths in Adair county and one in Sullivan county. Names of the victims have not yet been released. Many of the homes in the neighborhood were severely damaged. Some had the roofs ripped off, boards and all kinds of debris were scattered all around the subdivision. There were also pieces of sheet metal wrapped up in power lines in the area.
