How much damage did the Tornado in Corfy, NY cause?
Residents and business owners in western New York are cleaning up after a tornado damaged buildings and trees and and knocked out power. The National Weather Service says a tornado with wind speeds as high as 110 mph touched down in Corfu, about 30 miles east of Buffalo, at 4:53 p.m. Saturday. The tornado’s path was four miles long and 100 yards wide, and spread from Corfu to Darien, around four miles to the southeast, the weather service reported. It damaged several buildings and knocked down trees. Nearly 1,000 households remained without power late Saturday. No injuries were reported.
