How much cranberry juice should you drink to help a urine infection?
As much as you want. 16 oz a day will help. More than that won’t hurt you. Drink the whole carton today, and as much water as you can. Sometimes you can wash the infection out of you without medication. I do it all the time. Some people are more prone to UTIs than other people. At the first sign of a UTI, I start drinking 8 -16 oz of water every hour and taking cranberry pills (I hate the taste of cranberry juice, and the pills work great). I haven’t had to resort to antibiotics for a UTI for a lot of years now. Do the water and cranberry juice thing, and you should feel better tomorrow. But, even if you feel better keep up your water intake. It also helps to pee after you have sex (if you DO have sex) because that helps wash out any bacteria that was forced into your urethra by the action of sex. It is also important to drink plenty of water every day so bacteria doesn’t have a chance to sit in your bladder or kidneys and grow. Good luck. You can buy cranberry pills at the health food
