How much cost MRI on right knee?
I work in a free standing imaging center in Northern California. A routine MRI of the knee is about $1500 where I work….Do you have insurance? If you do, you should go to a facility that is contracted with your insurance. The insurance company has negotiated prices with that facility, and your out of pocket cost will be lowest there. If you are a cash paying patient, with no insurance, you have options. Of course, you need a doctor’s order to get any imaging, including a MRI. But, even if your doctor gives you an order written on General Hospital’s form, you can get your MRI done at Mercy Hospital. My best advice would be to look in your local yellow pages, and make calls for estimated costs at facilities in your area. Prices will vary depending on which state you are in….in fact, the prices can vary quite a bit between facilities in the same area.
