How much cooking is involved in the preparation of the “Shakes Alive!” Fruit Shakes™ menu?
• Absolutely NO cooking is required. We do have microwave ovens in our stores to heat our “Hot Ham, Egg, and Cheese Bagels” and to heat sandwiches on request. But, we do not have stoves or ovens or deep-fat fryers. Thus, we are absolved of the necessity under law to have ventilating hoods and fans and the attendant safety apparatuses these require. The luxuriant and welcome aroma in our shop is generated by fresh fruit and the abundance of other fine ingredients on hand. You can actually smell the coffee brewing! We leave the greasy smells to the competition. That is their province.
