How much compensatory time do I need to earn to cover the Winter Break?

0

Classified and non-exempt professional employees taking Dec. 28, 29, 30, 31, 2009 off will need to cover 32 hours (four (4) days). To earn 32 hours of compensatory time, you would need to work 20 hours and 20 minutes of pre-approved work by Dec. 18. Please note that your supervisor must approve compensatory time in advance. Compensatory time is an alternative method of compensation when a classified employee works overtime. Overtime is defined as any hours worked exceeding eight hours in a day, or forty hours in a week. Compensatory time is always credited to the employee at 1 time and logged on the employee’s attendance and leave record as an accumulating balance.
