Refinishing can require a lot of cleaning. Standard professional sanding equipment has vacuum bags on the sander and the edger however there is still a fine flour-like dust that remains behind, especially lower down on the walls. Taping off cabinets and doorways helps contain any dust that remains. All furniture, personal items, artwork and decorations need to be removed in the area being refinished.
