How much chlorine will the chlorinator produce?
The chlorinator produces up to 1-1/2 pounds of chlorine per day, and is designed to handle the chlorine demand for pools up to 35.000 gallons. For smaller pools, chlorine production is automatically controlled by cycling the power on and off. This unique method of controlling production is significant because it can extend the life of the cell by up to twice that of other salt-water chlorinator products. What maintenance is required? During the process of converting salt to chlorine, there is a calcium by-product that begins to build on the plates in the cell. On a regular basis, the cell reverses the flow of current that cleans the plates automatically.
