How much cheaper can you get a car at police/public auto auctions?
Listen to the person who said “take someone with you experienced in the auction process”. Keep in mind that there will be seasoned folks there who know how to bid, when to bid, and what to bid on. Also, it is very doubtful that you’ll find newer vehicles at these auctions. I see folks come on here and ask if they can get sport cars or drug dealer’s exotics, luxury vehicles, etc., at these auctions… the answer is “no”. And if they are there, the seasoned folks will know how to bid on them much better than you will. In short, it’s not a good way to try to find a bargain on a newer car.
