How much capacity is used for parity information?

RAID-K reserves storage for redundant parity information, and this storage capacity is not available for storing DVD and CD content on the Server. The amount of storage capacity allocated to parity is equal to the capacity of the largest Disk Cartridge in the array. For example, a RAID-K array with seven 500 GB Disk Cartridges has 500 GB allocated to parity information. A RAID-K array with seven 500 GB Disk Cartridges and four 750 GB Disk Cartridges has 750 GB allocated to parity information. A Hot Spare Disk Cartridge is not incorporated into a RAID-K array and does not affect the amount of storage allocated to parity.
