How much can students borrow per year in Federal Stafford Loans?
The maximum amount a student can borrow in Federal Subsidized Stafford Loans is $8,500 and in Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans is $12,000. Matriculated students enrolled in the Masters of Public Health program may be eligible to borrow an additional Unsubsidized Stafford Loan up to $12,500. Actual eligibility for these loan programs will be outlined on your financial aid award notice. As stated above, these amounts may change if students do not enroll in the number of credits that were originally estimated on the financial aid application.
