How much can i expect to pay for wedding flowers?
Flowers can get very expensive, but I figured out some ways to save money…we have had several family weddings. The last wedding we spent about $600 and I talked the florist into letting me pay for some of it after the wedding. I found one who would let me do this and she understood I was having a hard time with the cost of everything. Then I found out what flowers cost more, etc. It is the “wired” ones that cost the most because of the labor involved…so I cut down on a lot by wiring silk flowers for some things…like hair wreaths for children in the wedding, some of their corsages, baskets, etc…..and we had a Hawaiian wedding and used leis for the singers and the children holding programs, etc. We cut the leis in half for the kids, using two from one lei….they were ordered and not that expensive. We put real orchids on the cake …the large ones…which turned out to be about $5 each…and they were gorgeous. We decorated the candles on the aisles also with silk flowers, and p
