How much can a Chyten student expect to improve on the SAT?
At Chyten, we think in terms of score levels. For each part of the SAT, we want to move each student up at least one level. For example, a student with a starting SAT writing score of 640 should attempt to move into the 700s. A student with a score in the 400s should strive to move into the 500s. It should be noted that higher initial scores leave less room for improvement. So, while a student with a starting score of 700 on SAT math, for example, may be thrilled with a gain of 40 or 50 points, a student with a starting score of 300 may be less enthusiastic about such a gain. Many Chyten students jump two or more levels on a single part of the SAT. It is not at all unusual, for example, for a Chyten student to gain 200 points on SAT Writing.
