You know, I wouldn’t recommend you lifting weights right now because in our age, your muscles are still growing and if you misuse the weights, they can lead to serious injury in your muscle, thus leading to no muscle growth at all. I would wait another yr if I were you. Besides it would be better off if you lifted heavier weights for a short time rather than lighter weights for a shorter time. You don’t burn a lot of calories by lifting weights. The purpose of lifting weights-as you may know is to BUILD muscle. If you’re planning on losing fat from weight-lifting, then do a cardio first. But don’t do them this year yet. Do it nxt yr But when you do lift weights it depends how much calories you burn depending on the weight. But it won’t make much difference when you burn the calories.
