How much are tutors paid and how is the rate determined?
Span Plan tutors are paid a flat rate of $10 per hour. If the tutor successfully completes the tutor certification course (GS49000), the tutor is given a 10% raise beginning the semester following earning the certification. Tutors are paid for time spent tutoring, they are not paid preparation time or travel time.
