How much are high SAT scores really worth?
• SAT® and ACT® scores are an extremely important part of the college admissions process. At some universities test scores are equal in weight to the cumulative GPA of three years of high school. • Better schools, better opportunities – Open the door to our child’s future, both professionally and financially. • Earning power – College graduates from top colleges earn twice the national average! The difference of just a few points may be the only thing standing between your child and admission to a top level university. • Increased competition – Believe it or not, students from the Tri-state area are discriminated against by top level schools. Let me explain: Almost 50% of the leading 100 high schools in the nation are located in the Tri-state area. As colleges increasingly push for diversity, they don’t want 50% of their student body to come from one area. In order to be accepted, students in our area must have even higher SAT® and ACT®scores.
