How much are Ginkgo trees at the nursery usually?
I work at a nursery. We only sell males. Often they are propagated through cloning, so the grower knows from the beginning that they have only male trees. To give you an idea of size and price, the ones we have right now are Princeton Sentry, #6 container (about 1″ caliper) for $69. We also have Autumn Gold for $129, 2″ caliper of both Princeton Sentry and Autumn Gold for $220, and some Weeping Ginkgos, and Jade Butterfly (dwarf) for $249. I’ve seen some around 5 feet for $40 or so.
