How much are adjunct professors paid at universities?
For computer courses at the state universities in Indiana you make $45k to $65k for 12 credit hours per semester. This doesn’t include summer courses so you could make additional money if you wanted to teach during the summer. You must have at least a Masters Degree and many of the universities require real world experience in your topic. The pay cut from a professional position can be worth it if you are not required to build the course material completely by yourself. If you enjoy teaching and are willing to put up the time grading and providing support for your students then it is well worth it.
