How much African Grey Parrots cost?
African grey’s will cost around 1500, maybe less. But make no mistake they cost much more once you add the cage (about 800-1000), the playstand,avian vet visit, all the toys, (They are very intelligent and need a lto of toys to keep them occupied), and then the cost emotionally as well as how much time they need with you (roughly 6 hours a day out of the cage). You’re looking at about..I’d say a minimum of 3000 the first day and then a lot more afterwards. Make sure you do a lot of research on the african grey species as it is a big jump from a cockatiel to an african grey. There are many species that are smart, and loving but not as troublesome and dependent. (Nor expensive) There are caiques, conures, senegals, quakers, and even the smaller guys like lovebirds and parrotlets make wonderful pets. All are less dependent on you, less liely to pluck, and smaller so they are less expensive.
