How monopolies are benificial to society than perfect competitive market?explain max 1000 words?
1. I can’t speak for anyone else but I’m not here to do anyone’s homework. I’m here to help people understand. If I were you and someone took the time and trouble to explain something and the result was more than 1000 words, I’d be ecstatic. 2. Monopolies are not more beneficial than a perfectly competitive market. There are a few “natural” monopolies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_mon… but most monopolies are destructive rather than constructive. That’s one reason why governments such as the U.S. and the EU have anti-monopoly laws. 3. Of course many monopolies are rich and powerful enough that they avoid getting prosecuted, but that’s precisely the point: monopolies can be such a source of money and power that they are not good for the economy or for society. That is, of course, why every capitalist really wants to be a monopolist.
