Lastly, the project team will work closely with AHRQ to develop one or more promotional guides or a set of information sheets on ways to promote health literacy in pharmacies. The materials will be developed for pharmacies, pharmacy systems, health systems, payers, and policymakers. Guide development, as well as audience selection, will be informed by the findings from the nine case studies, the results of the project’s preliminary distribution efforts, data from the project’s interactive Web site, and the expertise of the project’s consultants, Rima Rudd and Lawrence Brown. We have posted a brief survey (see left) to help AHRQ better understand the health literacy tools for pharmacy that they have developed, as well as improve future quality improvement tools for pharmacists and other pharmacy stakeholders.
