How Memorise All the Scales/Arpeggios on the Entire Fretboard?
Heya, I know where all my notes are on guitar and key signatures etc but I having difficulties in remembering all the scale patterns and how they link with the fretboard etc. I need to picture the entire map and workout how everything links as I know all my 1 octave and 2 octave modal scales but only as a sequence of notes, when It comes to improvising it’s difficult to remember the position i’m at without following the scale. I know it should come naturally if I know where the notes are but I takes too much time and delay working out where I am on the neck and working out the tonic, sub tonic, mediant etc etc in terms of modes. Does anyone have any tips on remembering the entire fretboard, as I need to remember than well it in my photographic memory lol I’ve got to do this for the Major Modes, Harmonic Minor Modes, Melodic Minor Modes, Blues Modes, Pentatonic Modes etc and every Arpeggio including altered Instantly It the fretboard and memories the shape so I don’t have follow it exac
